Marina Bay Sands Singapore – DynaQuest Technology Services Inc (DQTSI) was a participant in last year’s 12th Medical Fair Asia held in Singapore. In its 12th year, the international event brings together the vendors and suppliers for Hospital, Diagnostic, Pharmaceutical, Medical & Rehabilitation Equipment & Supplies in a vast trade exhibit event.
The theme was “where healthcare connects with technology” and the exhibit showcased a glimpse of the futuristic elements that are shaping modern healthcare, medical supplies and health information.
DynaQuest, a health information outsourcing and solutions company that specializes in information processing, healthcare process outcomes support and telehealth services, was present during the event and was able to meet top IT and health directors.
“Health information is being reshaped by technologies that is helping information processing and medical devices,” DynaQuest CEO Randy said.
“When we hear of technology such as Blockchain, what comes to mind is how does this improve healthcare and how does this benefit society as a whole?”
Randy further elaborates in the meaningful impact of Blockchain in health information: “For instance, Blockchain offers a new healthcare ecosystem that is patient-centric – where patients are given the empowerment to take back and be proactive in their ownership of their personal health records.”
“A Blockchain enabled health information system allows for interoperability and is seen as a positive disruption to the siloed and fragmented state of Electronic Health Record (EHR) platforms out in the market. This will enable health providers and medical insurance to collaborate in meaningful ways to enhance delivery and their overall health service quality.” Randy noted on the positive effect of Blockchain technology for a better future in health.
Given the state of worldwide healthcare where health administration is proving costly even for countries such as the United States and in Europe, the industry is looking at technology in improving the overall processing times of health information. One such entity is Blockchain usage where its chronological and non-actor dependent processes are being tested across providers and the results are positive in their inception: better processing times, elimination of dependence on information stored in paper and better patient responses in case of emergencies.
In Asia, infrastructure such as public and private hospitals are being put to the stress test limits due to the growing population that are in need of health services. While infrastructure is being developed with expansion of medical facilities, it is seen that Blockchain and Internet enabled medical devices can be optimized in their processing times for patients. This means significantly reduced waiting times for patients and physicians can quickly reference on medical history.
In breaking new grounds with technology, DynaQuest has been active in engineering an EHR enabled Blockchain for future use cases.
During the event, DynaQuest was also able to meet with Philippine Ambassador to Singapore, the honorable Joseph Del Mar Yap. Afterwards, DynaQuest was the only Philippine company to be invited into the Ambassador’s office.
